Erectile Dysfunction Medicines Seized In Glengormley

Erectile dysfunction in Glengormley

8 April 2011

Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been seized by Department of Health authorities during a search of a house in Glengormley.

A guy was talked to by department officers about illegally importing and consequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the web.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offences.

He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: “It is vital that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be harmful.

“These kinds of items being sold, generally online, have actually gone through no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their safety.

“You merely do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More significantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this might have on your health.”
